So you want to join Stockholm Roller Derby – but you are not really sure where to start?
That’s great – you’ve come to the right place!
STRD is made up of Skaters, Officials, Non-Skating-Officials and Volunteers. The great thing about Roller Derby is you can be one or more of those people in our League. The best place to stay up to date with all our information is by following us on Social media
Below you find some information on how to start your path to the roller derby track with STRD for those both new to roller derby and those who are more experienced.
Roller Derby – We’re Recruiting!
The Crash Course is our program for beginner skaters. The purpose is to get you ready to play competitive roller derby or officiate with STRD. To be able to participate in this course, you must be over the age of 16. If you are under 16 please check our YoungSTRDs
Crash Course is a 10-week program with 2 practice times a week. To be able to participate in CC you will need a set of protection and skates (all of the following things, except a mouthguard, you are able to borrow) : Quad roller skates
Knee Pads
Wrist guards
Helmet
Elbow pads
Quad roller skates
Mouth guard

PROVA-PÅ
Come and see if you like skating and learn more about being on-skates. We try to hold one at least once a year – It is best to follow our Facebook page to keep up-to-date with the latest information.
Experienced Players, Officials and Skating Officials
Test session
STRD League sessions can be made available to you try by getting in touch with our Coaches at coach@rollerderby.se
Once you’ve tried a session – you can then get in touch with our membership group.
Joining STRD
.If you already know you want to join STRD please email medlem@rollerderby.se
Our membership group will give you a bit more information on our membership and training fees, and get you up and running as quickly as possible. From there you will be placed in a training group and could be bouting with STRD in as little as 30 days!
